a private luxury oceanfront home in the quaint beach community of Old Encinitas, California,
a suburb of San Diego, We are located 9 miles north of
LaJolla, 5 miles north of Del Mar. Our home is directly above
the ocean, perched on a bluff 80 feet above the beautiful, sandy beach
stretching miles in both directions. We have one Luxury B&B
vacation rental. If you're looking for an ocean front Inn, you can't get closer
to the Pacific Ocean than the Lovely San Diego Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast.

Hello! We have moved and welcome you to our new B&B: Inn At Moonlight Beach
WE HAVE MOVED FROM OUR HOME ON THE BLUFF Terry retired from his CEO job. Ann enjoyed the B&B so much that we've purchased a larger B&B just 4 blocks away. We recently completed remodeling.
Our new B&B, the Inn at Moonlight Beach, has 4 suites. We're just 2 blocks from Moonlight Beach. Most rooms have ocean views. Rates begin at $115 for a lovely private suite with European decor. The fantastic Penthouse Suite has a private Oceanview Deck and very private hot-tub. All guests enjoy sea breezes and Ann's wonderful home-made, fresh-from-the-oven pastries while having breakfast in the Ocean-view Sun Room.
Our San Diego Oceanfront Bed & Breakfast at 310 Neptune closed on May 20, 2008. Thanks to you, we have many fine memories.

Your hostess, Ann Dunham, lives in this bluff-top 4,500 square
foot oceanfront California Contemporary home with
her husband, her (quiet, adorable) little dog Max and her (quiet, friendly) cat
Toby.
She has converted the home’s guest apartment into a sumptuous
private-entry bed
and breakfast suite suitable for one or two adults. Your suite comes complete with private bath, coffee maker, refrigerator,
microwave and cable TV. Ann is known far
and wide for her scrumptious homemade bread and rolls and and her Starbucks fresh ground coffee.
She loves to entertain our guests.

special time of day. Every sunset is
unique -- and magnificent. From the private Oceanfront Deck you have
a front row seat as the sun slips over the horizon in an astounding array
of colors accompanied by the the rhythm of the surf crashing 80 feet below.
The beach is easily accessible by public stairs three doors away.

Evening On The Ocean
After sunset, take a romantic moonlit walk on the beach or simply relax on the Oceanfront Deck under the gas heaters and sip a glass of wine, enjoying the soft melody of the surf. When you’re ready for bed, snuggle down into your fine cotton bed linens, down-filled pillows and comforters and let the calming songs of the surf lull you to sleep.

Drift back to sleep to the soothing rhythms of the surf, or Seize The Day and relax with a cup of freshly brewed coffee on your choice of (1) your private east-facing Sunrise Deck as the sun rises over the palm-treed hills to the east, or (2) the Oceanfront deck to watch the first surfers of the day catching the morning swells.

Sun, Surf, Swim, Take Walks On The Beach, Eat, Read A Good Book, Jog On The Beach, Explore The Tidal Pools, Watch Surfers Surf, Dolphins Play, Whales Breach, Or Steal Down To The Beach At Midnight And Watch The Grunion Mate Right Before Your Very Eyes. The steps to the beach are just 50 steps out your door. Wander the beach or stroll into the charming little beach surfer community of Leucadia.
Bring your tennis gear! 2 new free municipal tennis courts are located in adjacent Cottonwood Creek Park and a third is a three minute walk away at Moonlight Beach.

Learn to surf by taking a class from world-famous Kahuna Bob, an icon in Encinitas.
Sunset is a special time at Moonlight Beach.
Locals (surfers, beach-goers, children, bicycle-riders, business men and women)
gather at the beaches for every sunset. It's a lovely ritual at a special time
of day. Dolphin and whales are regularly seen, especially from the
"high-bluff" beach entrances at Swami's, Stone Steps and Beacon's.

San Diego Oceanfront Bed & Breakfast is located at 310 Neptune (Map), an ocean-front street of the North San Diego beach town of Leucadia, in the City of Encinitas. Our home is on the oceanfront, perched on a bluff directly above beautiful, sandy beach stretching miles in both directions 80 feet below.
The stairway to the beach is 50 steps out your door. The views from the Oceanfront Deck stretch from LaJolla to the south, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point to the north, and San Clemente and Santa Catalina islands 60 miles to the west.
We're a 15 minute walk down the beach to the Swami's Surf Beach, 25 minutes from the San Diego airport, San Diego Zoo, Historic OldTown, Legoland and SeaWorld, 40 minutes from the San Diego Wild Animal Park, and 70 minutes from Disneyland.
