Life On The Beach 

If everybody had an ocean, across the U.S.A... then everybody'd be surfing, like California... you'd see 'em wearin' their baggies, huarachi sandals, too, a bushy, bushy blond hairdo, Surfin U.S.A... you'd catch 'em surfin' at Del Mar... Ventura County line (Inside, outside, U.S.A.) Santa Cruz and Tressels... Australia's Narabine... all over Manhattan, and down Doheny way... everybody's gone surfin'... surfin U.S.A... we'll all be planning out a route... we're gonna take real soon... we're waxin' down our surfboards... can't wait for June... we'll all be gone for the summer... we're on safari to stay... tell the teacher we're surfin'... Surfin U.S.A... at Haggerty's and Swami's... Pacific Palisade... San Onofre and Sunset... Redondo Beach, L.A.... all over La Jolla... at Waiamea Bay.... everybody's gone surfin'...Surfin U.S.A.

Laugh at the antics of our pods of friendly bottlenose dolphins as they frolic, play and catch waves and surf alongside the surfers.  Use our telescope and binoculars to look for grey whales during their migrations between Mexico's Baja and Alaska.  Maybe you'll even spot our famous "home" whale, J.J.

Enjoy the acrobatics of the local surfers from our Oceanfront Deck or marvel at the world's top surfing pros at world famous Swami's Surf Beach, known far and wide for it's awesome surfing, just a 15 minute walk down the beach.   Forever immortalized in the Beach Boys' "Surfin' USA,”  Swami’s is "surfer's heaven," where you can watch the greatest surfers in Southern California practice their skills.

The stairs to the Pacific Ocean is 50 steps out your private door.  Soak up some sun on the beach, build a great sand sculpture, or draw your own designs!  Or relax in a great lounge chair on our Oceanfront Deck

Enjoy a fish taco at Juanita's Taco Shop, the busiest - and many say the best - Mexican takeout in North San Diego, just 2 blocks away.  The lines sometime look long, because it's so popular, but they move fast, and it's the classic Mexican beach restaurant experience.  A recent magazine article said about Juanita's: "This is great Mexican food - Why doesn't it cost more?" Because it doesn't have to. Get in line - if you spend over $3.00 you better be very hungry.
