San Diego Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast is ten minutes north of the Del Mar Race Track. We're in Encinitas, near Moonlight Beach, directly on the oceanfront.

In the photo on the left is Bing Crosby collecting the
first ticket from the very first customer to enter the grounds on
opening day in 1937. Since then it has become one of the worlds most
famous race tracks.
The grounds that surround the track itself is the home of the Del Mar Fair. The fair is usually the event right before racing season begins. From mid June through mid September there is quite a bit going on at the fair grounds |
| Celebrate the Champions at Del Mar has become the major social event marking the start of the Del Mar racing season. The annual event, held on July 24 at the Del Mar Arena will honor the Champions of last year's Del Mar meet. |
